Garden Design Services

1. Full Garden Design

  • 1. Initial Consultation

We’ll meet at the garden location to talk through your ideas, needs and budget, then walk the space together so I can understand the site, light and flow. I’ll take a few photos and notes to capture existing conditions and any features to keep or change. This gives me everything I need to prepare a clear brief and a confident plan tailored to your garden.

If a site visit isn’t possible, do get in touch and we can discuss how to make this process work for you and delivery your dream garden design.

  • 2. Site Survey

A professional topographical survey is highly recommended: accurate levels, location of utilities and features, allow designers and landscapers to plan and cost out, drainage, grading, hardscaping and planting more precisely, avoiding errors which could eat into your contingency and prevent delays.

  • 3. Concept Design

Following the delivery of the Survey the fun can begin.

Mood boards will be created and we will exchange and collaborate ideas and thoughts of how we want the garden to ‘feel’.

Once we have a shared vision for the garden a rough layout design will be drawn. We will then review this and where necessary make alterations and amendments.

  • 4. Detailed Design Plan

A detailed scaled drawing/ Master Layout Plan will be created.

This plan illustrates all of the gardens components, its hard and soft landscaping, structures, trees and hedges. Your chosen contractors/landscapers will use this plan to build and deliver your garden design.

Once the MLP is signed off Planting Plans will be created. These plans detail the specific plants to be used, planting locations, quantities and price. The prices quoted at this point may be subject to change.

  • 5. 3D Visulisation Rendering

Once the Master Layout Plan is signed off a series of 3D Rendered images will be created. Showing day time, dusk and night time views of the garden. If desired a flythrough video of your garden can be created (this is not included in your initial quote for Full Design Services)

The images created enable you and your chosen contractor/landscaper to fully visualise the space as it will look once completed and planting has become more established and mature.

  • 6. Delivery & Implemention

Once the MLP and Planting Plan(s) have been approved, your landscaping contractor will break ground and the design takes shape.

I will keep in contact with you and your contractor and visit the site to ensure the design is delivered and the vision realised.

During this phase I will liaise with the contractor and order the planting. I will be on site for delivery and setting out/planting.

  • From £1,800

The initial consultation fee (from £120) will be deducted from the final full design service fee when you decide to proceed with the Full Garden Design Service.

2. Planting Plans

A set of garden design plans and plant or flower images. The plans include detailed diagrams and lists of plant species. The images feature various colorful flowers and plants arranged in a garden setting.

A planting plan begins with a site survey and a clear brief, we assess soil, light, drainage and movement patterns, then choose planting based on seasonal interest, structure and biodiversity value, while respecting your style and maintenance preferences. Once the plan is approved we source plants from trusted nurseries, arrange delivery to suit your schedule and coordinate timings so plants arrive at peak condition. I can organise and supervise the planting itself (or carry it out for you), ensuring correct positioning, planting depths and aftercare so the scheme establishes quickly and looks bold from day one.

From £300

A two hour garden design consultation is a relaxed, informal talk and walk around your site where we explore your space, discuss what you want to achieve and uncover its hidden potential. This is your chance to ask questions, test ideas and pick my brain for creative solutions, planting suggestions and practical considerations from sightlines and seasonality to structure and maintenance. I’ll listen to your priorities, offer bold design possibilities tailored to the site and leave you with clear next steps and inspiration to move your project forward.
